Snow Leopards Of The South Gobi Mountains

Mongolia's Tost Mountains are a Unique and irreplaceable Snow Leopard Stronghold.

Situated just miles from the Chinese Border, The Tost Mountains form a Natural Bridge between two of Mongolia's Largest Protected Areas.

The Gobi National Park to the North-East and the Great Gobi A Strictly Protected Area to the South-West. Both of these Long Established Reserves are Home to Snow Leopards.

The Tost Mountains are currently home to a Stable, Thriving, Breeding Snow Leopard Population.

Several Births of Snow Leopard Cubs every Year have been documented in the Tost Mountains.

No Snow Leopard Population anywhere in the world has been studied as extensively as that of the Tost Mountains and yet these Big Cat Predators continue to hold many secrets.

In 2025, A Pair of Wildlife Researchers Have visited Two Snow Leopard Dens in the Tost Mountains where they studied and photographed Five Snow Leopard Cubs.
